2012 Year End

As the financial year ends on a weekend this year, the following needs to be considered:

• the End Of Year tax packs are scheduled to be available on 9th of July 2012.
• until the 9th of July, Year End reports should not be relied upon. 
• the last day of all reports will be the 29th June 2012,
• the current period reports will flip to the new financial year on the 1st of July 2012
• the 29th of July holdings will be loaded for the 1st July 2012 reports.
• BPS Clients using IB, will change financial years on Tuesday 3rd July 2012.

BPS enhancements

The following enhancements have been added to all BPS services:

• Accrued income, and dividends added as line items within cash
• Option Realised Gains report
• YTD option income changed to use net realised gain above, i.e only closed option positions are included.

BBY BPS specific:

• Option realised gains, do not include any old berndale option trades
• On transfer from Berndale to BBY, there were no open option positions entered, hence these will have incorrect cost base when position is closed.
• Many MBL CMA accounts have missing bank transactions from 2nd dec 2011 -> mid April 2012, as such many reports will be incorrect.

IB service enhancements

The scheduled IB service enhancements should be completed by Wensday of this week, and will be available from the following morning to all subscribers.

This update will also include a number of fixes for the IB "Client Investment Report".

Electronic End Of Year Tax Pack for BBY clients

We have scheduled (1st July 2012) the release of an industry standard OFX export capability for our 2012 End of Year Tax pack for BBY BPS clients.

OFX end of year exports have been available to all Interactive Brokers users of BPS, this feature has now been extended to all subscribed BBY BPS clients.

OFX  is used by most of the global financial institutions world wide, including all Australian banks, the file may be imported into all accounting packages, such as quicken, MYOB, etc and any leading tax preparation packages, or optionally processed via Excel as an XML database.

We expect this will significantly reduce the costs associated with the data entry and preparation of your investment Tax Return for 2012.

This new feature is included at no additional cost to all existing BBY clients as of the 30th June 2012.

Interactive Brokers

Due to the increase in volume of Interactive Broker(IB) accounts, VillageMall is moving IB processing to a dedicated processing service, over the coming weeks.

While the changes should be transparent to all subscribers, there may be temporary issues during this time.

Once the move is complete all IB portfolio's should be available 2 hours earlier then currently, i.e from ~ 6:00 AM AEST.

Thank you for your understanding over this time, as the new service should offer an improved service level to all IB account holders.

Subscribers are reminded that only root level URL's may be used to access VillageMall services..

I.e https://invest.villagemall.net.au,
 https://solutions.villagemall.net.au or any of our white label services such as
 https://portfolio.bby.com.au.

Any deep linking such as  https://invest.villagemall.net.au/WebOffice/Mlogin.aspx etc may fail due to internal changes within our network.

Please ensure that only the top level domain is used to access any VillageMall Service, this includes any saved links.

Updated Subscriber Agreement

All VillageMall Services are supplied under a Subscriber Agreement, which all Subscribers must read and accept before using our Subscription Services.

We have updated this agreement to:
a)  include use of optional digital certificates to protect supplied Data when communication with VillageMall using email.
b) the communication of supplied Data between VillageMall and any individual linked to a Subscriber Account; when said Subscriber Service, has multiple Subscriber Accounts.

All subscribers shall review and Agree the current terms and conditions, should you not agree with the above terms and conditions you shall cease using the Subscriber Service.
